Edie - rescued yesterday an hour before euthanasia
This just made me tear up.
I’m sobbing at my desk. I saw so many dogs like this when I volunteered at the shelter. That screeching fear bark took me straight back. I would sit with a terrified dog all evening, patiently trying to gain their trust. And when you finally do, it’s the most rewarding feeling on earth.
I spent a summer volunteering at a shelter. I thought I’d be a mess, but I spent just as much time consoling the other volunteers as I did the animals. This video just killed me.
